Weddings
My favorite thing about floral design for weddings is bringing the Bride and Groom's vision during the planning process to fruition on their wedding day. Seeing the happiness that the flowers bring to the Happy Couple on their special day is the absolute best reward.

Robin and Evan's Wedding at The River View at Occuquan in Lorton, Virginia
Photography by: Carl Elixer Photography
This couple's wedding day featured crisp white Roses, white Anenomes with black centers, light blue Delphinium and Hydrangea which coordinated beautifully with the bridesmaids' emerald green gowns. Such a lovely sunset ceremony with two floral arch sprays displayed on a rustic Birch Chuppah overlooking the Occuquan River. Raised compote table centerpieces were mixed with low taper candle centerpieces that had loose greenery tucked in for a beautiful presentation overall. This wedding party was a lot of fun!

One of my all time favorite floral palettes, the greyish whites, the palest lavenders ranging all the way through to deep purples and eggplants. I love adding all kinds of floral textures to create a richness of eye pleasing variety that is unique and memorable.

This lovely bride loved that her wedding flowers included four different types of gorgeous Roses, along with textural elements like Dahlias, Yarrow, Gomphrena, and Pepperberry. An extraordinary ceremony backdrop, these 8-foot Floral Towers incorporate fresh and faux floral and greenery, creating a brilliant Fall backdrop for their intimate wedding ceremony. Lush floral table centerpieces were set in raised gold compote dishes. Tall taper and votive candles created a wonderful flickering ambiance. Fresh Maple leaves were incorporated into the fireplace mantle design and the Sweetheart Table garland to highlight this couple's last name signage. Loosely laid Eucalyptus fronds were tucked in around the candles to complete the tablescape.

It was wonderful working with a Bride and Groom who absolutely love vivid Fall colors. They wanted the brightest oranges and reds for their wedding flowers including interesting textural accents like Pincushion Protea. So proud of the way the Groom's Boutonniere turned out with the most special Caberet Rose accented by interesting textural elements like beautiful feathers. I like to highlight the Groom's boutonniere by distinguishing it from the other bridal party boutonnieres. Creating a detailed feature-rich set of Boutonnieres, Corsages and especially two Flower Girl Headpieces is truly what distinguishes my floral artistry. Can't wait to receive the photographer's gallery and post updates of everyone wearing their floral pieces. Combining all of the best elements of their colorful floral palette into large scale floral sprays at their ceremony arch set the backdrop perfectly to highlight this nice couple's I-do's.

Megan and Dave's Wedding at 48 Fields Farm in Leesburg, Virginia

This couple created an amazing "Music Festival" concept for their rustic wedding at a barn venue. We devised an exceptional terracotta, burgundy to ivory floral palette with lots of Pampas Grass and dried elements, the Bride's favorites. This lovely floral palette combined beautifully in the bridal and bridesmaid's bouquets which later were placed as table centerpieces among with lots of other personalized decor at the reception. This couple attended to every detail with great looking terracotta suits and dresses for the Groom and his Groomsmen and women. I used fantastic sunset orange Madeira Spray Roses for the gentlemen's boutonnieres which coordinated beautifully with the peachy orange Country Home Roses in the ladies' bouquets. A trendy triangular ceremony arch asymmetrically constructed with an upper left Floral Swag and a lower right cachepot arrangement. A lovely backdrop display for the couple's vows during their ceremony.
Jamie and Sergio's Wedding at Raspberry Plain Manor in Leesburg, Virginia
Photography by: Anna Kratoville Photography
This couple had lots of great decor ideas during the planning process. I created lots of digital designs for different variations to meet their budget. Love working in a collaborative way with my clients. Its really the best way to build a relationship that leads to the best results on your wedding day. Classic lush white Roses, Charmelia and Hypericum Berries, with dark green foliage and the bride's favorite Eucalyptus all came together beautifully in this hand-tied bridal bouquet in an upright round form. This fun bridal party had the best time creating a festive atmosphere for the bride and groom's special day. The Groom and his Groomsmen buddies were looking handsome in their tuxedos adorned with hand-crafted, detail rich boutonnieres. It was the bride's wish to have lots of candles set amongst loose greenery lining the ceremony aisle leading up to two asymmetrical crescent arches filled with greenery and Eucalyptus. The bride's vision manifested into a beautiful oasis of flickering light as the day turned to night creating the perfect romantic backdrop for their vows. Loved creating a lush greenery Crescent Arch backdrop with candles set among scalloped Eucalyptus at the base. The multi-height cylinder candle holder theme with loose greenery tucked in continued the theme throughout the reception dining table centerpieces.

Absolutely loved Colleen's bridal bouquet of crisp whites and sage blue greens as it perfectly accented her beautiful dress. Such a handsome couple! Classic and elegant white roses, mums and delicate Freesia with Eucalyptus sage greenery was the bride's wish for her bridal and bridemaids' bouquets. Beautiful tall Centerpieces of lush white flowers in Pilsner Vases placed on pedestals wrapped with fabric accented Colleen and Tanner's wedding ceremony. A lovely combination of white Roses with Cremon Mums, Stock flowers and Babies Breath atop Eucalyptus greenery set the joyous celebratory tone at the reception dining tables.
Wedding at Farmer's Daughter Restaurant in Jefferson, MD

Due to the Pandemic, this couple postponed their wedding but then decided to get married privately and host a reception for their friends and family at a Maryland restaurant. The Bride chose to carry a posy bouquet with all of her favorite flowers at her grand entrance to the reception ballroom. Bumblebee Roses were just the perfect shade of creamy yellow for this creative Groom's Boutonniere. This extra special Sweetheart Table Arrangement was filled with specialty Cafe Au Lait Dahlias from a local flower farm, Linette Cremon Mums and Bumblebee Roses creating the centerpiece for the Bride and Groom's dining table on their special day. The pretty combination of Cremon Mums, specialty Alstromeria and Bumblebee Roses came together so nicely as a Welcome Table Floral Arrangement.
Bonnie and Christopher's Wedding at the DC War Memorial
Photography by: CPK Floral Designs
This couple decided to say their vows at the War Memorial in Washington DC. I was lucky to snap a few nice photos before they were whisked away in their limousine. Best wishes for many years of happiness! Bonnie's bouquet of pretty blush pink Secret Garden Roses, apricot Spray Roses, black-centered Anemones and fantastic Cafe-au-Lait Dahlias were her requested favorites. She looked just stunning in her modern sheer black wedding dress. The whole family participated in this couple's wedding party. The sons each wore a boutonniere and the daughters each received bridesmaids' bouquets. The groom's boutonniere was created to be the perfect complement to the bridal bouquet. Typically, I always differentiate the groom's boutonniere from the groomsmen's boutonnieres by using slightly different embellishments.

A classic pure white cascading bouquet never goes out of style. There is refined elegance in its monotone simplicity that adds a touch of class to your wedding attire. The Groom's Boutonniere is the perfect match to the Bridal Bouquet and visually connects the Bride and Groom together. It is a miniature piece of wearable floral art and the perfect accent for the Groom's lapel. The Mothers of the Bride and Groom wore intricate corsages set on beautiful pearl and rhinestone bracelets. The Fathers of the Bride and Groom wore elegant boutonnieres. Such beautiful gifts for the parents who raised you at this incredible moment in time.
Marijana and Edgar's Wedding in Virginia
Photography by: Unknown Photographer and CPK Floral Designs
Look at that big smile when I delivered Marijana's bridal bouquet! The bride and groom's wedding was postponed and modified quite a few times during our planning process so I was filled with joy to see them so in love and fulfilling their dream of joining their families together. I think their entire family got married that special day! The bride's bouquet combined her love of red and white Roses with deeper reds and blue greys that reflected the beauty of the Fall season perfectly. The Groom's boutonniere is such a special way to create a cohesive look with the Bride's bouquet. We chose a red Rose for the focal flower as a nod to the Bride's love of red Roses.

Tony and Kim's beautiful wedding bouquet featured gorgeous burgundy Calla Lillies and Scabiosa, purple Stock, blue Delphinium and Thistle in a perfect symbiotic dance to accent the bride's loveliness on her special day. Bridal bouquets are such a beautiful form of floral art that I love. Created specifically to share with and delight the beholder. Such a fantastic sunny day location for a micro-wedding amongst your closest family and friends. A floral garland marks off the ceremony area and 6 floral lanterns light the path for the bride to reach her beloved groom and finally say, I do. Lavender Gladiolas grace the lovely Floral Lanterns that are exceptionally versatile in being able to be moved from ceremony to reception with ease. This bride and groom's vision for their wedding day was effectively installed creating a beautiful ceremony location and priceless family photos to treasure.

Helena and Yashar's beautiful micro-wedding bouquet in Leesburg, Va. was highlighted with gorgeous Quicksand Roses that are typically a dusty light pink but vary in color based on growing conditions at the farm. Such a lovely bridal bouquet with the bride's favorite blush and ivory accent flowers draped with blue/green Eucalyptus and fern foliage. A carefully chosen perfect white rose tipped in pink and with blush spray roses and Waxflower accents to perfectly complement the groom's wedding attire.
Chelsea and Freddy's Wedding at Birkby House, Leesburg, Va.
Photography by: Rachel Yearick Photo and CPK Floral Designs
Chelsea and Freddy's beautiful wedding at Birkby House in Leesburg, Va. was highlighted with blush and ivory flowers with blue/green foliages. This color palette was just perfect for creating a romantic vibe that flowed so nicely with Chelsea's other decorative accents throughout the ceremony and reception. This gorgeous bridal bouquet was created on a base of two types of Eucalyptus. Quicksand and Playa Blanca Roses with accents of Waxflower and Veronica. The most fragrant and exceptional Rose Lily was chosen for the focal flower at the center of the arrangement. This luscious romantic combo not only looked wonderful but smelled devine! The most perfect Playa Blanca Rose and a blush spray rose with Waxflower accents made for a classy lapel accent on the groom's special day. In this case, the Best Man was actually a young boy, their son, that was going to be wearing a dress shirt and suspenders instead of a jacket. For this situation, I created a smaller sized boutonniere that was just right for him.
